Overview
When Alfen is releasing a firmware update the firmware file is ready to be downloaded from the Alfen update server.
A push notification is then automatically sent to the ACE Service Installer and Backoffice systems.
Depending on which of these you are using the file can be used from there.
ACE Service Installer
When you start the ACE Service Installer you will get a notification that a firmware update is available.
Proceed to this page to follow the steps to download and install the latest firmware using the ACE Service Installer.
Backoffice
When using a Backoffice system, the firmware file (*.fwi) is sent to the charging station from an ftp server.
Most Backoffice systems have this option and are able to send firmware updates to the charging station.
You’ll need to actively check yourself if a firmware updates has been released.
