Preparation
Step 1 - Identify the Charger Platform
Determine which platform the charger is running on:NG
AHP
Step 2 - Identify the Connection Type
Determine how the charger is connected:Wired
Alfen SIM
Third-party (Own) SIM
Step 3 - Available Firmware Files
Please use the firmware package that matches your charger platform and connection type.
They are available in Eve Control.Wired Connections

Eve Control TLS Certificate AHP
For Wired and Alfen SIM installations, simply install the corresponding firmware file and reboot the charging station. No further configuration is required.
If the charging station uses a SIM card that is not provided by Alfen, please follow the additional steps below.
1. Install the TLS Certificate
Upload and install the certificate matching your platform:
NG: Eve Control TLS Certificate NG
AHP: Eve Control TLS Certificate AHP
Wait until the installation has been successfully completed before proceeding.
2. Configure the OCPP Network Profile
After the certificate has been installed, configure the network profile using your own APN settings.

🔴 Warning: If your provider does not require an APN username, APN password, or SIM PIN, remove those parameters entirely from the network profile string.
For example, if only an APN is required:

Don’t forget to send the configuration to the charger!
Step 4. Reboot the Charging Station
After sending the network profile to the charging station:
Reboot the charging station.
The charging station should now come back online with a secure connection to the Alfen OCPP endpoint.
