SPK Modbus RTU kit 3PH indirect 803873261-ICU

This kit includes an indirect external Modbus RTU energy meter, providing a cost-effective solution when there's no Dutch or Belgian smart meter available via the P1-port.
The energy meter can be connected to the RS485 port on all new Eve single products (NG910 V2 / NG910+).
This enables the seamless utilization of smart charging functionalities, such as Active Load Balancing, in countries outside the Netherlands and Belgium, eliminating the necessity to invest in an expensive Modbus TCP/IP energy meter.

See the smart charging implementation guide for more information.

Note, there are two options:

  • Option 1
(Preferred option) Do not change any setting on the meter itself.
Use the Alfen preset “eastron sdm72ct” via the service installer.
The measured value on the screen will be different, however, the charger will correct this value accordingly.

  • Option 2
If you wish to see correct reading on the meter you can configure the display on the SDM120CT meter by setting the default value of CT1 to 100 instead of the default 1.

Select “Manually enter mapping” and fill in the register as shown in the image above. Make sure to set the FLOAT32 to x1 instead of x100.

Make sure that the address is set to the ID that is shown on the meter, update time is set to 2000, readout time is set to 500, and function code is set to Input register.
